Why this lot is worth tasting
Ms. Mai’s 300 Thien Truong trees grow in Dak Ha, the coffee capital of Kon Tum, whose coffee carries the geographical indication “Dak Ha coffee”. The farm is fed with organic fertiliser and keeps natural grass between the rows as ground cover. It ripens early, from late October to early November, which makes this one of the first lots of the 2026/27 crop.
Processing and grading
Cherries are processed natural (dry) by 1300’S Coffee: the whole cherry is dried before the bean is hulled out. Natural processing typically gives Robusta more body and a rounder, sweeter cup than washed processing. The green beans are then sorted to screen 16–18 and graded to moisture 12.5% max, black beans 0.1% max, broken beans 0.3% max and foreign matter 0.1% max.
Who this lot is for
With 7 bags of 20 kg, this is a micro-lot. It suits small roasters looking for a limited single-farm Robusta to offer as a special release, or to try fine Robusta alongside their Arabica range. Natural Robusta works well in espresso blends, where it adds body and crema, in milk-based drinks and cold brew, and in traditional Vietnamese phin coffee and cà phê sữa đá.
Traceability
Every bag in this lot comes from one farm and one household: Kon Tum Robusta Coffee Farm of Ms. Mai.
