Long before there was coffee, there was fire. Chư Đăng Ya — the "wild ginger mountain" — last erupted roughly a million years ago, scattering basalt across what is now Gia Lai Province in Vietnam’s Central Highlands.

The lava cooled. The mountain went quiet. And what it left behind became the most coveted coffee soil in Vietnam: porous, mineral-dense, almost black. The kind of earth that forces a coffee plant to dig deep — and rewards it with a cup nothing else on this continent can replicate.

The Volcanic Series is our tribute to that geology. Five products across three formats, all sourced from a single ring of farms on the volcano’s flanks. Each one carries the same signature: the unmistakable mineral smoke that only basalt-grown coffee can produce.

Chư Đăng Ya's last eruption deposits basalt across what becomes Gia Lai Province. The lava cools into porous, mineral-dense black soil — porous enough to drain monsoon rain, dense enough to feed a coffee tree's deepest roots. The terroir is set.

Cherry Selection

Harvest · Oct–Jan

Our farming partners on the volcano's flanks hand-pick at peak ripeness. We pay above the regional commodity price to guarantee only red-ripe cherries enter the chain - never green, never overripe.

Honey Process

Days 1–18

At our MOHODO Đắk Hà facility, cherries are pulped but mucilage stays on the bean during sun-drying. This honey process preserves fruit sugars and lets volcanic minerality shine through.

Lab Verification

Per Batch

Every harvest lot is cupped by our Stone Village Lab partners against a CQI-aligned reference profile. Lots without the signature mineral-smoke note do not enter the Volcanic Series.

The same beans travel three paths - whole-bean / ground for the 350g flagship, pre-portioned drip bags for the Quick Drip family, and soluble-extracted with sugar/creamer for the 3-in-1 family. Each format preserves the mineral-smoke aroma through different engineering.

Roasted, cooled, and sealed into nitrogen-flushed tins or paper boxes within 24 hours. Designed in - house, printed locally, ready for shelves in Hồ Chí Minh City, Hội An, or Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
