Why this lot is worth tasting
Mang Den is the cool highland plateau where 1300’S Coffee takes its name, with average temperatures of 16–22°C all year round. Mr. Dai’s Arabica grows at 1,200 m in planted beds with automatic drip irrigation, organic fertilisers and grass ground cover to keep the soil moist and prevent erosion.
Processing and grading
Cherries are honey processed by 1300’S Coffee: the skin is removed, but part of the sticky mucilage stays on the bean while it dries. Honey processing typically keeps more sweetness and body than washed coffee, with a cleaner cup than a full natural. The green beans are then sorted to screen 16–18 and graded to moisture 12.5% max, black beans 0.1% max, broken beans 0.3% max and foreign matter 0.1% max.
Who this lot is for
This first lot from the farm is very small and already fully booked, but you can still request a sample to taste the farm ahead of its next harvest. High-grown honey Arabica suits filter and pour-over, and roasters looking for a Vietnamese Arabica to lift a blend.
Traceability
Every bag in this lot comes from one farm and one household: Mang Den Arabica Coffee Farm of Mr. Dai. Our agronomy team supports the farm through the season, and 1300’S Coffee buys, processes, grades and delivers the lot you order.
