Măng Đen is the highland that gave 1300’s its name: cool air, ancient red basalt soil and primary forest, around 1,300 m above sea level.
Origin: Măng Đen, Kon Tum
Arabica from Măng Đen, in Kon Plông, Kon Tum, grows between 1,200 and 1,300 m. The cool mountain climate slows the ripening of the cherries, which builds a light citrus acidity, a balanced body and a sweet finish. Our processing facility sits inside the growing region, so cherries picked in the morning are on the drying beds the same day.
- Soil: ancient red basalt
- Altitude: 1,200–1,300 m above sea level
- Region: Măng Đen, Kon Plông, Kon Tum
Harvest & process
At least 75% of the cherries are fully ripe at picking; the lot is cleaned and sorted for consistent commercial use.
Semi-washed process: the skin and most of the fruit are removed mechanically before drying, a middle way between washed clarity and natural body.
In the cup
Fruity aroma with a lively acidity.
For roasters
This is green coffee, so the roast is yours. A light roast keeps the fruit and acidity, a medium roast balances sweetness and body, and a dark roast brings out the chocolate and bitterness. Tell us how you plan to use it and we will suggest a starting profile.
