Description

Mang Den Specialty Coffee – unique flavor of the Central Highlands mountains and forests

Arabica coffee grown at an altitude of 1000m above sea level, also known as cold-country coffee, is being invested in by 1300’s and farmers in Kon Tum to expand the area because of the uniqueness of Arabica when grown in this place.

Arabica coffee trees like to live in high mountains, usually grown at altitudes of 1000-1500 m. The tree has a small canopy, dark green color, and oval-shaped leaves. Mature coffee trees can be 4–6 m tall, and if left to grow wild, they can be up to 15 m tall. The fruit is oval in shape, each containing two coffee beans.

Arabica coffee can begin to be harvested about 3 to 4 years after planting. Usually, 25-year-old coffee is considered old and cannot be harvested anymore. In fact, it can continue to live for about 70 years. Arabica coffee plants prefer temperatures between 16-25°C and rainfall of over 1000 mm.

Conditions for growing Arabica in Kon Tum

  • Soil: Red basaltic soils
  • Altitude: 1200 – 1300m above sea level
  • Average temperature: 22 – 23 °C
  • Average rainfall: about 2,121 mm/year

Arabica Mang Den Specialty Coffee is grown in basalt red soil and cold climate, bringing the best quality to coffee beans.

Arabica coffee grown in Mang Den, 1300’s ensures 100% bean quality, carefully selected from ripe red coffee beans, with the distinct aroma and bitterness of the Arabica variety.

The rainy season in Mang Den starts from July every year, the rainy season will last until December and will gradually reduce rain each month, the peak rain is September – October, these months the weather in Mang Den is very rare. I see the sun and the pouring rain. This is also the right time for farmers to start growing Arabica coffee, and coffee farms begin to appear with images of green coffee seedlings.

When the coffee seedlings are planted, they will be kept moist by the drizzle, so 1300’s took advantage of the rainy season in Mang Den to sow the coffee seedlings. The land where we grow coffee is located in the middle of the forest, covered with surrounding forest vegetation, with the natural soil of the old forest not being affected, very suitable for the development of Arabica.

For coffee roasting levels, 1300’s are used: Light, Medium or Dark. Each roast level, coffee will create its own unique flavor and aroma. Modern roasting technology allows coffee beans to ripen evenly, without burning, retaining the most delicious flavor. Depending on your preferences and coffee taste, 1300’s will advise you on the appropriate roast level.

The special flavor of black bamboo shoots is created from the perfect blend of natural sweetness and unique aroma. Arabica Mang Den coffee has a rich, strong and smooth flavor, bringing a feeling of fullness and depth in every sip of coffee. Arabica Mang Den Specialty Coffee here are something that even the best coffee connoisseurs cannot ignore.

The journey to conquer Arabica coffee beans in Mang Den is a long journey that 1300’s has put in a lot of effort with the farmers. 1300’s mission is to bring high quality Vietnamese coffee products to the world level. With each package of coffee sold to the market, 1300’s hopes that not only will customers have delicious – clean – pure coffee to enjoy but also contribute to helping farmers in Kon Tum have a better life, both materially and materially.
