Arabica coffee originates from the tropical highlands of Ethiopia (East Africa). Brazil and Colombia are the two main exporting countries of this type of coffee with the highest quality. Producing quality, delicious coffee beans is not an easy task. Vietnamese arabica coffee trees are usually grown at altitudes of about 1,000 – 1,600m. In addition to growing in a special environment, arabica coffee is also carefully cared for and selectively harvested for each ripe fruit to produce the best quality.
Arabica is a cold-loving plant, it usually grows best at temperatures of about 18 – 24C at an altitude of about 1000 – 1600m above sea level. The most suitable rainfall for Arabica is about 1200 -1500mm/year and the soil for growing Arabica coffee trees also needs to have a reasonable pH of about 4 – 8, the optimal pH range for the tree is 5.2 – 6.2.
